Delivery Guide - Falcon Bowling Shop

We are proud to represent some of the leading brands for Indoor and Outdoor Bowls.  We stock a wide range of products and always endeavour to maintain reasonable stock levels of the most popular products/options to enable us to procees orders as soon as possible.

Whilst we are delighted our suppliers are usually very reliable in responding to our stock orders, enabling us to offer our customers a dependable order service, a proportion of our products are imported by them from locations as far as Australia.  As a result, certain seasonal goods (eg. Waterproof clothing) are sometimes limited in availability both in quantity (if ordered too late into the Outdoor Season) and timescale (certain goods are bulk shipped in time to arrive prior to a new season, but will not be re-imported until the following year).

Should our normal Re-Stock schedule not be possible to achieve at any point, we will ensure you are kept up to date with the progress of your order and given the opportunity to discuss any alternative solutions.

Order Turnaround - For Orders with In-Stock Items

If your required items are in stock and your payment has cleared successfully, we aim to process and despatch your goods within 48 hours of receiving the order notification through the online shop system. 

The despatch office operates between 9.00am - 2.00pm Monday - Friday.  Orders received after 12.00 noon on a Friday will not normally be considered as 'Received' until 9.00am the following Monday.

Order Turnaround - For Orders with Out-of-Stock Items

If any of your order items are Out of Stock we will process and despatch any In Stock items separately and within our normal turnaround timescale.  The Out of Stock items will also be processed with our suppliers at this time, and we normally expect to receive the new stock within 3 - 5 working days, and usually less.  The outstanding item(s) will then be forwarded on to you as the remaining part of your split-shipment, at no additional delivery cost.

Delivery Options

You are provided with a choice of delivery options:

Standard UK Service (1-2 Days - Courier) / Standard International Air Mail Service (automatically selected if delivery is outside the UK)

Collection in Person - Free - Ideal for customers living locally or passing through Chelmsford, Essex who would prefer to collect their order in person, saving on the delivery charges.  The Falcon Bowling Shop is located within the Falcon Bowling & Social Club at:

The Falcon Bowling Shop is normally open for the Collection in Person service from 9.00am - 2.00pm Monday-Friday.  However, it is recommended that you call prior to making a speciall trip to the shop, to check that there are no alterations to these times/days that could affect your visit.  Call+44 (0)1245 443 666 to double-check.

Delivery Charges
 To ensure our customers only pay delivery on the goods they have actually ordered, our delivery charge policy is based on the actual combined weight of all the ordered products.  This produces a final weight which is then allocated to the mose economical delivery service option available at the time of your order.

Delivery rates may fluctuate at any time and where appropriate may be absorbed by Falcon Bowling Shop.  However, we reserve the right to change our delivery charges and policy to accommodate these changes without notice and without any obligation to notify our customers in advance.  Nevertheless, if delivery charges change after you have completed placing your order (following your payment clearance), your delivery charges will remain as stated at the time of your order.

When placing your order online, the delivery charge is calculated in the firs stage of the Confirm Cart/Checkout process.  By your selection of your preferred delivery option and ensuring the delivery country is correct, the system will automatically calculate the weight of your ordered products and match the total weight with the most appropriate delivery service, confirming the delivery charge on screen as part of the order breakdown information.

At present, the delivery charges range from £1.30 - £15.00 depending on the combined weight/size of the ordered products.

Choice of Delivery Services

To ensure we offer the most efficient/economical delivery service to our customers, we use and have access to a number of different courier services for our delivery requirements.  This assists us in maintaining more consistent delivery prices, creating a fully supported delivery infrastructure, and offers peace of mind that if one service is unable to meet our timescales on a particular occcasion, we have other options available to us which will enable us to honour our own service commitments to our customers.
